Winter Botany Hike
February 5, 2023
Thomas Darling Preserve
Blakeslee, PA

Identifying plants during the winter can be challenging.  Join Sandcut Outdoors to learn some easily recognized field characters needed to identify some of our more common plants during this difficult time of year.

The approximately 2 mile hike will be held at the Nature Conservancy’s Thomas Darling Nature Preserve in Blakeslee, PA and will run from 10 am to 1 pm.  Dress for an extended outdoor exposure including hat, gloves and sturdy boots or shoes for walking on snowy, slippery, and uneven terrain.

Due to the fact that this event may be cancelled due to severe weather or excessively deep snow conditions, registration is required.  $10/person.  Space is limited.  Email to register or call Mike at 570)955-8391 for questions.  Meet at the parking lot on Burger Road at least 15 minutes prior to the walk to fill out waivers.
