Courses for American Red Cross Certification
The following is a list of courses that I offer as a Licensed Training Provider for the American Red Cross (think of it as an authorized training franchise). All classes follow ARC curricula and result in ARC certification.
Wilderness and Remote First Aid - This class isn’t limited to far away, wild places. It is advanced first aid for when advanced care by EMS is greater than 30 minutes away. This class is required for all Boy Scout leaders taking scouts on remote camping/backpacking trips. Prerequisites - Must be at least 14 years old and possess a current Adult CPR/AED certification.
Basic First Aid - First aid for the lay person. Covers care for bleeding, shock and sudden illness.
CPR/AED – (Adult/Pediatric) - Learn what to do in the event of a heart attack, cardiac arrest or choking/respiratory arrest.
Basic First Aid/CPR/AED (Adult/Pediatric) - Combines CPR/AED with Basic First Aid. This is my recommendation for baseline care for just about anyone. I’ve personally used these skill on my own kids and found them to be invaluable. This is basic life support for areas where access to EMS is less than 30 minutes away.
